Randy Travis is coming to Bonnyville!

The Centennial Centre is proud to announce an upcoming concert by one of the biggest names in country music.  Randy Travis will be performing at the C2 Field House on Tuesday 4 May 2010.

Randy Travis has been a mainstay of the country scene for 25 years and now has record sales of over 25 million, with 22 number one hits, 6 number one albums, 6 Grammy's, 6 CMA's, 9 ACM's, 10 AMA's, and 7 Dove Awards.  The accolades never seem to end, and to top it all off, Randy also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Along with his full-time music career Randy has also become an accomplished actor over the years. In addition to TV guest appearances on Matlock, Touched By An Angel and Texas, his film credits include The Rainmaker (Jon Voight, Matt Damon, Danny DeVito), Frank and Jessie (Bill Paxton, Rob Lowe), Black Dog (Patrick Swayze), Fire Down Below (Steven Seagal), The White River Kid (Antonio Banderas, Ellen Barkin, Bob Hoskins), Texas Rangers (James Van Der Beek, Dylan McDermott), The Visitation, and a starring role in The Wager (Jude Ciccolella, Nancy Stafford, Bronson Pinchot), a spiritual thriller released in May, 2008.

Randy has also reunited with Warner Bros. Records and his latest album, Around the Bend is being called the perfect country album. Around The Bend, does not have one out-of-place note nor one false emotion. Randy's vocals have never sounded more expressive, better phrased or more soulfully shaded. The CD's production is a model of crisp clarity. Each instrumental texture is placed just right. Randy reunited with long time friend and producer Kyle Lehning to record Around The Bend, and the result of their collaboration on this album is nothing short of amazing.

Opening for Randy Travis is Victoria Banks who became the most nominated female artist of 2009 with an overwhelming six nominations from the Canadian Country Music Association.  Victoria's self-produced debut album "When You Can Fly" is a masterpiece of songwriting from an exceptionally talented voice, securing Victoria a place as one of the most respected artists in the Canadian music industry.

Tickets for this eagerly anticipated show go on sale Wednesday December 16^th 2009.

Reserved floor seats are priced at $85, $70 and $55 in advance.  All tickets are $10 extra at the door.  Private booths of 6 seats on the upper level are also available for $660.00.  All ticket prices are inclusive of fees & taxes, and booth seats include a buffet meal from the Weatherford Centre Ice Restaurant.
