OPEN CLIMB TIME Not belay certified? No problem! We have open climb times with a certified belayer. All you do is show up and we do the rest. All ages welcome. Thursdays from 5:00pm-8:00pm, Saturdays from 11:00am-1:00pm and Sundays from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Drop-in rates apply.

LEVEL I Learn the basics of safe indoor climbing with a qualified instructor! Learn the double figure 8 knot, climbing specific jargon, harness adjustment, how to tie in, and safe climbing procedures. Build confidence and have fun! If the instructor deems you capable of progressing quickly to Level II he will progress you without further delay. All necessary equipment is provided! Clean running shoes are acceptable.

LEVEL II Progress and develop your skills with a climbing partner under the supervision of an instructor. Become confident in ascending and descending belay skills. Learn how to: choose and use different belay devices, tie the bowline knot, install the rope, execute partner safety checks, select proper climbing shoes and harnesses.

This assessment is now part of our Level progression system. It allows our participants to become certified to belay and climb without supervision. Climbers will receive a Centennial Centre belay card and are able to participate in spontaneous climb time! If you have previous climbing experience and wish to challenge the exam, submit an online REQUEST to set up a time.
