The Centennial Centre is proud to announce an upcoming concert by Juno Award-Nominated Canadian singer Bif Naked at the C2 Field House on Friday 23 July 2010. This show will feature the full band performing in a dynamic acoustic rock style.
From her remarkable beginnings in an orphanage in India to her battle against breast cancer, Bif Naked has consistently defied the odds, and continues to do so. Bif’s latest record "The Promise" was written and recorded while she was undergoing chemotherapy and radiation therapy. When released in May 2009, Bif dedicated the album to her fans. As Bif explains it, "The Promise" is the perfect title for this record. “A promise is made. A promise is kept. It's one’s word. I made a promise to myself and to my fans. This record is for us.”
Bif released her first album in 1995 then three years later, her second album, I Bificus, became one of the year's best-selling albums in Canada thanks to the hit single "Moment of Weakness." Subsequent albums Purge and 2005's Superbeautifulmonster featured fan favorites like "I Love Myself Today" and "Let Down”.
Now back to full health, Bif admits that she is really excited to hit the road with these latest songs. “I’m going back to tour because it is what I love to do. Performing is my passion. I owe it to myself and to my fans to keep evolving and to keep challenging myself and I just can’t wait to rock.”
Come see Canada's favorite female punk rocker in Bonnyville this summer!
